What the OSC tempo does, and does not

Many consoles and VJ tools cannot read a timecode but can lock an effect speed to a tempo they receive. WinShow sends them the played BPM, over the network, as OSC.

The BPM sent is the played BPM: the analysis tempo multiplied by the deck’s pitch. It is the one the room hears, not the one in the file.
